It’s been a beautiful fall season in New England, and the foliage has been incredible. This is really the first fall where I have truly appreciated where I live and what I get to experience every autumn. For the past few weekends I have budgeted out some time to wonder into new places and see what I can discover. From the White Mountains in New Hampshire back down to Massachusetts, I’ve stopped along scenic highways, farm stands, and apple orchards.

Driving down the Kangamangus Highway at sunset with brilliant foliage and fresh powdered snow up on the mountain top.
The Rocky Gorge Scenic Area off the Kangamangus Highway near Conway, New Hampshire. It’s a hidden treasure in the White Mountain’s, so don’t turn around too early, cause then you’ll miss this spectacular gem.

All bundled up as we stopped along one of the many scenic observations points scattered on the Kangamangus Highway. It’s the best route for taking in the breathtaking views of the White Mountains.
